Privacy policy

Last updated 3 November 2026

The short version: Margin doesn't collect any data. It has no accounts, analytics, tracking or advertising, and no servers of its own. Everything it knows about you stays on your iPhone.

What Margin stores on your iPhone

Margin saves your settings in storage shared between the app and its widgets, on your iPhone only:

Deleting the app deletes all of this. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else.

Permissions Margin asks for

All of these are optional. Margin works without them, with fewer widgets filled in.

Services Margin uses

Margin has no servers of its own. It uses two Apple services:

Apple handles this information under its privacy policy. The launcher opens other apps with their links. It doesn't send them anything.

Data we collect

None. Margin has no third-party code, analytics, crash reporting services or advertising. If you opt in to sharing crash reports or diagnostics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may share anonymised crash logs with us under Apple's privacy policy.

If you install a beta through TestFlight, Apple shares the information described in its TestFlight privacy notice, such as your name, email and any feedback or screenshots you choose to send.

This website

This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or third-party fonts or scripts.

Children

Margin isn't aimed at children and doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
